My first rock and roll album was Aqualung. I got to see the group in '96 at the UofA in Tucson, Arizona. I lucked into the best seat in the house due to a returned ticket that I bought with days to spare, over the phone. I was first row, center, my feet could touch the base of the stage. Two hours of heaven for the biggest Jethro Tull fan I know of, me!

I've been a fan since the "Stand Up' album was released. I first saw them in Richmond,Va. during the Stand Up tour and have been to many, many shows since. I'll relate my favorite. It was during the very first leg of the US TAAB tour when they played the Norfolk Scope. I had the rare privlege of backstage access courtesy of a friend who was with the local radio station. I met Barrie Barlow oddly enough while Thick was being performed. He came down from the stage with a black 16"x18" floor tom so the drum tech could replace the head. I took a close look at the Ludwig floor tom and above the Ludwig badge was a sticker that said "Another quality selected product from Rose-Morris London". Barrie was quite nice and even offered me a Lark cigarette! That was a fantastic show and to see it performed from backstage was an incredible experience. I still have vivid memories of it even though it was over 30 years ago.

Hello everybody! My name is Christi and I live in Greece. I love music. My favourite greek singer is George Dalaras. I heard Jethro Tull for the 1st time on a CD called "A little light music" where Dalaras participate and sing the song "John Barleycorn". I think that the concert where he sang it was at the Olympic Stadium of Athens in Greece... Dalaras also sang another song with Jethro Tull, the "Rubby Tuesday". Unfortunately it was not included in the CD "Little light music" :( I search for this song for a long time! Does anyone have it?????? If you have this song please send it to me as an mp3 file at my e-mail address lkjhgfdsa2006@yahoo.gr!!!!!

What a treasure trove of fantastic information and knowledge! I have been aware of Jethro Tull since the early 70s and just love their music. Ian has words for every mood and has lifted my spirits on many occasions. One of my favourite albums is Minstrel in the Gallery, closely followed by Aqualung... with the other old ones very very close behind! Thank-you Vern for all you do for Tull fans all over the world.

I forgot to add to my previous entry, I've been a Tull fan since 1972, when I saw them on the Thick As A Brick tour, the first live band I ever saw, and still the best cencert of my life. Saw Tull last year in Plymouth. still great, but don't do enough of the classic 70s stuff, I'd love to hear them do Minstrel In The Gallery again, or maybe Passion Play.

Really good site, only just found it. On the 'New Day' dvd, there's an extract of the 1975 Tull doing Minstrel In The Gallery live in Paris, does anyone know if the full concert is available anywhere? Failing that any dvd of the Anderson/Barre/Barlow/Evan/Hammond-Hammond line-up, which was. after all, the all-time best, and recorded the classic albums, in my opinion, well all except Aqualung!

Pechanga Concert- I was there too and it was a fabulous show. Almost like that good old days when all of us rushed the stage. The concert hall is a bit smaller which gave it a real intimate setting. The acoustics were great and Ian, I must say was in rare form. I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of violinist Antonio Pontarelli to the show. He definitely kicked it up a notch and I was hoping that we would see more of him. His website is http://www.antoniomusic.com. Hey, if Ian Anderson thinks that he is good enough to play with Tull then I KNOW that he is headed for stardom! I really hope that he is on their next tour! Tammy

Nov. 12th Show at Pechanga Casino - The show was really spectacular and the whole band appeared to be truly enjoying themselves. The addition of the talented 14 year old rock violinist Antonio Pontarelli added a fiery element to the show. He played classical violin with Ian on the beautiful Griminelli's Lament. He then picked up an odd looking electric violin and tore up the stage playing Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze". The two standing ovations were well deserved. I think that we will be seeing a lot more of him. That kicked the show from a more accoustic set into high gear and the fans went wild just like the old days. Ian's voice was strong and resonant and Martin's soaring solos really drove the energy. What a show!

I got the tickets as soon as the news of the concert flew in the air and that evening was magical.'Jethro Tull' presented a mindblowing show and Ian Anderson with his magnificient flute was unbelievable. They created magic on the stage with every ounce of music from all the exotic instruments and I relived 'Tull' in its full glory. The usual favourites were 'Thick as a Brick','Locomotive Breath','Mother Goose',and certain instrumental pieces from 'Divinities' and with a grand finale- 'Aqualung'. A truly memorable evening and the greatest show of my life. Long Live Jethro Tull !

It's a great web site and has everything you need. There’s nothing better than TalkTull! I didn't realize how addictive Metro Tull was until I stumbled upon your site! Nice to see there are others out there that share my love of the band and the band is still making progress. I like those sounds over the hover buttons but sometimes I feel like the all knowing eye is watching me! Ekim

Well Vern: I haven't taken a peak at your site in quite some time now and I must say I feel right at home here. You have the best site that the entire internet has to offer on Jethro Tull. I love you for it. Just so you don't forget, I did send you a picture of me to add to your member's list and am waiting for that to happen. I know Boston is rapidly approaching and this is the farthest thing on your mind. But to me, this is important and would greatly appreciate it once things calm down that you take care of for me. I will wait patiently as I know you have a good heart and when you say you will do something, you do it. Hope you have the best time ever in Boston. I'll be thinking of all of you. Love, Pearl
